Europe Snacks Kolak and Ibersnacks to Merge

Europe Snacks Kolak and Ibersnacks have joined forces to become the leading European manufacturer of private label savoury snacks.

The Anglo-French savoury snacks specialist is continuing its strategy of geographical expansion and technological development by merging with the Spanish manufacturer.

The new Group combined has generated for 2017 a turnover of €345 million and employ over 2,000 people in eight production sites in France, Great Britain and Spain.

In addition to the current capabilities of crisps, extruded, fried and popped snacks, stacked chips, crackers and popcorn, the expanded Group will now have the capability to produce tortillas and other corn-based snacks.  This year the Group will supply more than 1.7 billion packs to a wide range of retail and foodservice customers.

Ibersnacks is recognized in the Spanish market as a longstanding supply partner to Mercadona, the country's leading retailer. This partnership will be strengthened by combining the new Group’s product portfolios and by the launch of specific innovations.  Felix Eguia, President and founder of Ibersnacks, will join the Group's Board of Directors as a shareholder and take on an extended role with particular responsibility for development in Southern Europe.  Managing Director, Ricardo Rodriguez Robles, will take over the general management of operations in Spain.
